The Visit, Step by Step

Four Steps to Custom Porcelain Veneers

Step 1 — The Consultation

We Start With Your Smile Goals

Your first visit begins with a conversation. Dr. Shinali Patel will listen to what you want to change about your smile, answer your questions, and evaluate your teeth to see whether porcelain veneers are a good option for you.

You'll talk through things like tooth color, shape, length, symmetry, and the overall look you want — whether that's subtle and natural, brighter and more polished, or a bigger smile transformation.

Step 2 — The Smile Design

Your New Smile Is Planned Around You

Next, Dr. Shinali Patel helps plan the look of your veneers. This may include photos, a digital scan or impressions, shade selection, and a discussion of the shape and proportions that best fit your face and smile.

The goal is not a one-size-fits-all smile. It's a smile that looks balanced, natural, and personal to you.

Step 3 — Preparation & Temporaries

Your Teeth Are Prepared for Custom Veneers

When you're ready to move forward, your teeth are gently prepared so your veneers can fit properly and look natural. A scan or impression is taken and used to create your custom porcelain veneers.

In many cases, temporary veneers may be placed while your final veneers are being made. This helps protect your teeth and gives you a preview of your new smile.

Step 4 — Final Bonding

Your Porcelain Veneers Are Placed

Once your custom veneers are ready, Dr. Shinali Patel checks the fit, shape, color, and overall look. After any needed adjustments, the veneers are carefully bonded into place.

When you look in the mirror, you'll see a brighter, more confident smile designed around your features, your goals, and your personality.

After Your Visit

Life With Your New Veneers

Porcelain veneers are designed to be durable, natural-looking, and easy to care for. Most patients return to normal speaking and eating quickly, although every case is different.

With good home care, regular dental cleanings, and avoiding habits like biting hard objects or grinding without protection, porcelain veneers can last for many years.
